ReadTrade is a marketplace for protected digital publications. This page explains what we collect and why. Questions? Use the contact form.

What we collect
  • Account details: your email address and name (via our sign-in provider).
  • Purchase records: what you bought, when, and for how much.
  • Access logs: downloads and opens of purchased titles, including IP address and browser/app user agent, tied to your account.
  • Device identifiers for the desktop/mobile reader apps, used to enforce the per-account device limit.
Why we collect it

To deliver your purchases, prevent fraud and piracy, trace leaked copies back to their source, and provide support. Watermarks on opened books include your email and device details for exactly this purpose.

Payments

Payments are processed by Razorpay (and Stripe for international cards where enabled). We never receive or store your card or UPI credentials — only a payment reference and status.

What we don't do

We don't sell your personal data, and we don't email marketing you didn't ask for. Author-sellers can see sales of their own titles but not buyers' personal details beyond what fulfilment requires.

Deleting your account

Contact us to delete your account. Purchase and access logs may be retained where needed for accounting or dispute resolution.
